Summer School

Summer Camps:

    LISD offers a wide variety of academic camps over the summer, including writing, foreign language, math and social studies. Camps range from 3-5 days and offer skill levels from beginners to advanced. Check out the Summer Academic Camps page for more information.

Summer Learning: Required Assignments

Summer learning promotes an early start to academic thinking and skill application while supporting common experiences that foster immediate instructional opportunities once students arrive on campus in August. Summer EOC Testing

Library Services Available to Students During Summer

LISD students are expected to read a book of their choice during the summer. To help students meet their summer reading goals, the libraries at River Ridge Elementary School, Four Points Middle School and Rouse High School will be open for summer library service. All libraries listed below will have books for elementary, middle and high school students.

River Ridge Elementary Library

    Open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m.–noon
    June 10, 12, 17, 19, 24
    July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29
    July 31
    All books due by July 31

Four Points Middle School School Library

    Open Tuesdays from 1–4 p.m.
    June 4, 11, 18, 25
    July 9, 16, 23, 30
    July 30
    All books due by July 30

Rouse High School Library

    Open daily, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
    June 12–28
    July 10–25
    All books due by July 25
