Mrs. Travis is your School Counselor

Hello I am April Travis and I am excited to help children succeed at Camacho Elementary. I have worked with youth in a variety of positions since 2001 and have been the Counselor at Whitestone 7 years prior to moving to Camacho.  I am excited to be here with you and look forward to a great year.  I love working with and interacting with people of all ages and look forward to meeting you!

I grew up in Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) and moved to Colorado to go to school at Colorado State University (Go Rams!). I have lived in Texas since 2005 and love Austin (Go Longhorns!).

I enjoy the outdoors and playing any kind of sport, I especially love mountain biking!  I have a wonderful husband and a sweet teenage 'chosen' son.  My family is complete with a rambunctious lab-mix and spunky chihuahua!

I look forward to a great year at Camacho Elementary (Go Cosmos!).

Access to School Counselor Services

School counselors serve students and parents—both in groups and inpidually—to help students meet academic, personal/social, and college/career goals.
Inpidual referrals to the school counselor may be made by the student, a parent, or by school staff and administration. School counseling services do not constitute or substitute for professional therapeutic care.
Students may stop by the counseling office during the school day. Parents may call the counseling office to schedule an appointment or a phone conference. Matters of urgency will be given priority
